The Ruby Lady has a passion for passing on her knowledge to fellow dancers, and has travelled the world teaching Oriental technique, combos, choreography and Egyptian folklore. The Ruby Lady's approach to any topic stems from a single philosophy: that creativity and stage presence must grow out of strong technical foundations and a mature understanding of our dance form.
Whether it's technique, choreography, improvisation, dynamics, musicality or folklore, The Ruby Lady is eager to share all that she has to offer from her first hand experience as a professional belly dancer, and an eternally humble student, to your belly dance community. "I have hosted The Ruby Lady to teach workshops on several occasions, and highly recommend the experience! She generously shares her own innovative signature style and technique, whilst crediting her mounting list of teachers and influences. She imbues her workshops with an ever-increasing cultural knowledge and seems equally comfortable teaching technique, combinations, or choreography. Plus, she is super fun to hang out with!" Sylvia Edge-Perkins, Healium Dance and Yog Studio, Wellington, NZ
"[The Ruby Lady] gave us a lot of new info, a full choreo with difficulties (which is good). Sweet teacher, lots of fun, would [study with her again] in a skit" Anon, Sahara Dance Studio, Washington D.C
"Rachael is a fun and easy professional dancer to host for workshops. Her workshop content is always interesting and jam-packed with exciting technique for my students and the Auckland community who attend. Her performance skills are incredible and she generously gives of her time with the participants." Candice Frankland, Phoenix Belly Dance, Auckland, NZ
